Copper clay
I've been experimenting with copper clay again. I find it really tricky to work with. Silver clay is soo easy but I'm finding copper clay takes some practice. Which makes me want to stick at it - I do like a challenge.
I made some more lovely little star fish earrings...
and some more copper leaves - (still awaiting their final creation!!)
And some fab little domed earring studs, which have a lovely organic finish, and a gorgeous rosey copper hue and which....well....are just lovely, and...
....I'm so keeping them sorry! (peekaboo!) Must make some for the shop soon.

UK Handmade Autumn Edition
You probably already know that there is a fantastic online magazine especially written for the ever growing community of UK artisans and makers
But did you know that the Autumn edition was out right now?
And that it had LOADS of fantastic stuff in it - including (amongst other brilliantness);
Aa tutorial for elegantly carved butterbut squash, which I'm definitely going to have a go at this year.
A fantastic tutorial in how to write a press release.
A "meet" article with paper cutting artists (I LOVE papercutting at the moment!)
And an interview with Suzanne from Gorjuss, by Becky from Red Bird Jewellery.... ooh that's me.

Seriously, I would highly recommend you get a cuppa, and have a flick through this seasons issue. Click on the front cover above and enjoy!

Giveaway alert!
Have you seen the UK Handmade website recently? If you haven't why on earth not? - it's fantastic, and also if you had you might have seen my earring giveaway that's just gone up.
My little leaves are one of the most popular items that I make, so I have teamed up with UK Handmade to offer a pair to one lucky winner.
The catch?
There isn't one - you just have to leave a quick comment about which item you like best in my folksy shop on the UK handmade website, and that's it - you're entered. Simple
Tell your friends!! keep those fingers crossed and these lovely leaves could be yours. (Good luck)

UK Handmade Spring Edition
The Spring edition of UK Handmade is now available. For someone like me who likes to try all sorts crafts it's a fantastic and inspirational read.
This months makes include some beautiful mini Easter cakes - which I'm going to have to attempt. Not sure mine will look quite as gorgeous.
There are finds, reviews, and scene articles - a fab way of finding out what's going on in the handmade world. Plus some great business tips (this month how to promote your online business...handy!) and as ever some interviews with inspirational makers and artisans.
This month I even joined in, and put together an article on Poppy Treffrey, and how she grew her business from a tiny one woman and a sewing machine, to her latest book deal.
It's all well worth a read!
